ASIAN BUSINESS STUDENT ASSOCIATION

“Not Asian? Not Business? Not a Problem.”

Established in 1987, the Asian Business Student Association (ABSA) is now one of the largest and most prestigious organizations at The University of Texas at Austin with over 300 members every year. Our purpose is to develop successful leaders in and out the professional world.

professional

ABSA provides professional real-world development events throughout the year with real-world business leaders. Members gain insights through company info sessions and professional skills workshops, visit Fortune 500 companies in our Company Field Trips, and put their business skills to the test in our Case Competitions.

SOCIAL

ABSA is a great place to make new friends! Members are sorted into ABSA Families that host regular socials and engage in friendly competition with one another to win the title of Best Fam. ABSA constantly hosts other social events, from intramural sports, parties with other business organizations, and special events like video game tournaments, field days, and picnics!

Philanthropic

ABSA is committed to serving our local community. We fundraise every year for a local charity voted for by members and engage in a variety of local community service activities, including planting trees, cleaning up graffiti, and running campus-wide fundraising events. We also host Feed Your Mind every semester, a campus-wide event promoting mental health and wellness during exam season.
