1. Why did you join ABSA?

I felt very lost as a freshman, and wanted to quickly find a community on campus. I applied for a director position not expecting much, but I later realized I’ve found the group of people and events I’m willing to devote my time and effort to. Through ABSA, I’ve not only been able to push myself out of my comfort zone but also meet so many cool people I’ve otherwise will never get to know!

2. What is your favorite ABSA memory?

I’ll give two:

  1. NYC CFT!! so much fun and food

  2. FEED YOUR MIND! (so much fun and food) really enjoyed planning the largest event of ABSA and getting to help give out free stuff during finals week

3. If you could give one piece of advice to your freshman self, what would it be?

Sometimes it’s totally fine to go into something without any expectations because you’ll always be able to get more out of it than you expected 🌱

4. What is your favorite food/ favorite place to eat in Austin?

Can’t choose but so of my top choices are: Pinthouse, Tumble 22, Nervous Charlie’s Bagels, Taqueria de Diez, and a 2am DLT from Taco Bell

5. Name the top five things on your bucket list

  1. do a half/full marathon

  2. learn how to play the guitar/bass

  3. go on a complete solo trip in a different country

  4. try as many cafes/matchas around the world

  5. attend ACL
