1. Why did you join ABSA?
I’ve always been interested in Business, and as a Computer Science Major, I wanted to be able to make connections with people on the business side to maybe learn a thing or two. It turned out that the org was much more than I expected - through ABSA, not only did I learn about business; I practiced relevant career skills (such as developing this website) and built friendships that will last for a lifetime.
2. What is your favorite ABSA memory?
I don’t have a favorite ABSA memory; I have too many to count! From the social events to the professional and philanthropic events, I always had a reason to make it to the "next big ABSA event” right around the corner. Out of all of these memories, though, some of my most favorites involved meeting my peers at the beginning of the year and spending time with Administrative Branch as a director.
3. What’s your favorite thing about UT Austin?
The University of Texas at Austin is a special environment - smart enough to rival some of the top schools in the nation, but d̶̜̓ę̸̈́ģ̵̎ẻ̴̱ń̵͓ enough to be able to have some fun. The fact that we each have 49,999 other people to meet means that there’s always somebody to learn about, sympathize with, and be supported by. I love how UT can start to feel extremely small once you find your home, but still have the resources of a gigantic university.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to your freshman self, what would it be?
Make sure to go even further to break out of your comfort zone and get to know more people! Furthermore, make sure to not let ANY opportunity pass you by. Who knows what you’ve missed up until now?
5. What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be in charge of what I do. One of my talent and passion is to be creative, and I will stop at nothing to never stop creating. In the future, I’d love to be able to launch a startup with the iOS, Web Development, and Backend skills I’m developing right now.
6. What’s your favorite TV Show/Movie/etc?
My favorite movies are Kimi No Na Wa (君の名は) and The Greatest Showman. I love the art and music in both of these movies, and I believe that’s what makes them so great. I don’t really watch any shows, but you can ask me about the artists I listen to!
7. What is one thing that you love about yourself?
I love that I don’t take myself too seriously. A lot of times, people forget that everyone sees through the image people put up for themselves, and I believe that being yourself is the best favor you can do for yourself.
