1. Why did you join ABSA?

As a freshman, I was overwhelmed by all the different clubs and organization that UT had and I didn’t know which one would be the best fit. At one of the org fairs I walked up to the ABSA table and the people tabling had so much confidence and charisma that I was immediately hooked. I wanted to learn more about what this organization offered and how ABSA helped these individuals get where they are today.

2. What is your favorite ABSA memory?

My favorite ABSA thus far would have to be the out-of-state CFT in Boston during my sophomore year. As part of the branch that organized the CFT, I was stressed about the execution but that allowed me to get closer with other members of my branch, and the entire trip gave me the opportunity to make so many new friends. From visiting Liberty Mutual and IBM to eating a 28-inch pizza to eating the best cannolis in the country to screaming at the top of our lungs at karaoke; that trip with those people is something I will cherish for the rest of my life.

3. What’s your favorite thing about UT Austin?

My favorite thing about UT Austin is the people. Whether it's my neighbors from Jester West that turned into my roommates, the friends in ABSA that have become my panel members, or the random people that I meet in my classes - UT Austin has no shortage of amazing young individuals that all have their own stories to tell. With so many people attending UT, I am always meeting new people, hearing new stories, and embarking on new journeys with new friends.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to your freshman self, what would it be?

Stop stressing out and have some fun. I'm already halfway through college and before I know it I'll be graduating and college will just be in the past. I feel like as a freshman I was too caught up with trying to do everything I never took a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment that I was in because you never miss something when you have it, you only miss it once it's gone. So just calm down, have fun, and be you. Don’t let anyone tell you who you are or what you’re doing is not good enough, you are the only one that can judge yourself.

5. What is your dream job?

Be a fitness model.

Fitness has always been something that I feel is very important and is not stressed nearly enough to the public. But I also love to work out, be active, and play sports like frisbee, tennis, or ping pong. So if I could get paid to workout and play sports and post about it, that would honestly be amazing.

6. What’s your favorite TV Show/Movie/etc?

How I Met Your Mother; I’ve seen that show around five times now and I have the iconic ducky tie and yellow umbrella. I also very much enjoy Friends, The Office, and Parks and Recreation so basically I’m down to watch any sitcom. Any conversations, references, or gifts from these shows will be met with a lot of joy and gratitude.

7. What is one thing that you love about yourself?

One thing I love about myself is my personality and my ability to infuse humor and positivity in almost any situation. As a kid I was often times the ‘class clown’ and jokes were made at my expense but I was never phased and always enjoyed seeing the smile on everyone else's face. So as I grew up, I continued to make jokes at my own expense as well as add humor wherever I could just to brighten my day and the days of others. I believe laughter to be the best medicine because no one can be sad while they’re laughing (unless they’re the Joker).

8. Name the top five things on your bucket list

  1. Drive on the autobahn (the speed limitless highway in Germany)

  2. Run with the bulls in Pamplona

  3. Meet Rafael Nadal

  4. Grow taller

  5. Skydive out of a plane with my best friends
